Hello everyone, I know this is an annoying subject - but we have so many problems at XDA with no AOSP or Lollipop. No custom ROMs have been built yet, and after nearly 3 years, we have CyanogenMod 11 built from scratch that has so many problems, doesn't even stay on for 5 minutes. Even if AOSP isn't available without patches can we have the full sources? As a developer, (and I think I might speak for everyone else here) it's so hard to build ROMs for this phone - I've tried so many times and all of them have so many problems (and no I'm not a bad dev, I have built ROMs for supported, yes supported AOSP devices and they have gone really well). So all I ask of you guys at Sony is that you help us with this phone. Thanks, - Jago Gardiner

Sony has driven all Xperia E1 users to the edge right now. We keep on getting told at XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-e1) that Xperia E1 custom ROM support will never be possible beacuse Sony will not contribute to helping us. Why is that though? Sony has worked with every other Qualcomm-based 2014 Xperia device except our little Xperia E1, even upgrading them to Marshmallow. Even upgrading the phone to 4.4.4 would please many Xperia members. I get why we can't have AOSP on this without patches - we obviously need patches, but why does that matter? (That I actually don't know ) Even if we can't get AOSP, can we at least have support from Sony for custom ROMs, as many people are trying their very hardest to create custom ROMs yet failing beacuse Sony hasn't put their library's and kernel up for devs to access and use. Sony, I'm sure you have a million reasons why this can't happen, but can you at least try? Then we'll know if this is possible or not. Thanks, Xeon.
