@MockTurtle wrote: Xperia Companion solved this problem. It took some time to find the way, so I'll leave an instruction (follow it at you own risk, I am an idiot). And, of course, you'll lose all your applications and data. - charge your phone - install Companion and connect your phone, so it will install drivers and stuff - disconnect your phone - run Recover tool from Companion - check the option "My Device is not recognized, or SmartWatch something" - choose device type "Xperia Phone" - wait until Compation finish some preparations - connect your device (yes, Companion instruction says otherwise, but I dont know how to turn off bricked phone) - hold Power+VolUP, device will start reboot process - after vibro signal hold VolDown - you'll see green led light - click Next and Companion will start recovery process I had to do this twice (may be I have done something wrong on my first attempt) Now I have software version 50.1.A.13.123 and android 8. Phone says, that he is up to date, I suppose, that this funny update was called back P.S. Sony! I needed this instruction 24 hours ago! This helped me. After force restart xperia companion gave this option with recovery update (or whats it called cause I did it in my native language not english). I got blue notification light after the green one that way I knew im on a good path. Following the steps I managed to install the update from my pc after 3 tries, most difficult problem was that I had to unlock my phone somehow without anything displaying on my screen luckily my fingerprint unlocked or atleast the phone was buzzing that way.

Since the update I can't take crisp, sharp pictures. Everything is blurry without regard to the lighting or movement/standing still. Before that I could took pictures without problem and they were always focused. As you can see the picture's edges are blurred, foggy, full of noise whatever you want to call it, the whole image looks dreamlike, on Oreo I could have zoomed in and the picture is still clear now its full of noise. Fix the camera or bring back the Oreo camera app. Android 9 Pie Android 9 Pie Android 8 Oreo
