I bought an XA1 phone from the Carphone Warehouse which had a problem with the drop down screen and also the key pad edges not working. When I took it back still under warranty to be fixed I was told the phone was bent. I said it most certainly was not bent when I took it for repair and they reluctantly said it was damaged in transit and replaced it. My friend bought her XA1 the same day as me from a different branch of Caphone Warehouse and hers had the exact same problem and they have come back and said hers is bent. My boyfriend has the same phone and his was a problem with the charge and the phone switching off and not coming back on. His was sent off and came back saying his was bent and refused to do anything about it. I find it remarkable that we have all 'allegedly' damaged our phones by bending them. None of us have dropped or damaged our phones. Sony are using this as an excuse and refusing to deal with this fault. It's a poor excuse that you have no doubt used with numerous customers, instead of just addressing the issue in the fact you have produced a phone that is not fit for purpose and clearly has a manufacturing fault. This is absolutely disgusting for a multi billion company to treat people like this. None of us will ever buy another Sony item again!
