Its not the same camera setup. Sony has actually lied on that point. Xperia 5 cant do Slo-mo feature, so it misses the Dram to be able to that feature. Somehow SONY think that was a good idea, and still consider Xperia 5's camera setup exactly the same as Xperia 1.  ... View more

Thanks, it seems that sometimes like i posted, that with Auto Creator mode, and Auto Brightness, that after watching say Netflix, or Youtube, with HDR or 4K material, the display just bugs out, and picks a random brightness, and stays that way, until you either switch one or t'other off.   But I prefer Creator mode on all the time, white balance calibrated screen, and Auto Brightness on also.   The screen is extremely viewable in bright direct sunlight, compared to my old Huawei's, and Samsungs that I've passed on to ther members of the family. My old Mate 10 Pro, which my daughter has now, in direct sunlight, reminds me of a kindle, or an old 2 tone lcd screen, the colours are all washed out, and it just appears like the details are outlines. My son, a techhead was very impressed the other day, when I let him see it when we were at the beach with the dogs, he has to cover his screen with his hand to be able to see the screen in bright sunlight, for it to have any real detail/colour.   I like my 1, it's just the camera motion issues and proper 21:9 photos that need added/fixed, and it's probably the best phone I've had..and don't get me started on the fantastic audio it produces.   Atmos...awesome! Ruined my xperia xz "premium" phone while was crossing a 7 meter wide-long river. I knew I was going to soak the phone, but I also knew that they guaranteed and claimed it is an ip68 standard device, which is supposed to endure a short submerge.  The phone was in my pocket. The water reached the pocket and stayed on its level for a couple of minutes. The phone had rubber plugs on the charging port and 3.5mm port. And yet afterwards I discovered the water on the inner side of the camera glass, so it did penetrate the phone.   sony (without capital)blatantly lies us that the device has ip68 standard. In fact it’s not!!! How many people did already suffer from being misled by the crooks?   I feel myself blatantly deceived and I want my money back. Suggest to sue this company over massive fraud. Hi @Rowdog99, sorry for the late reply, I had to request some additional information. It's not possible to set an SD card as default storage in Cinema Pro, but you can move the created video using a file manager application, for example the pre-installed application called "Files". The movie(s) are stored in DCIM/XPERIA/CINEMA_PRO. To view the movies that are moved to the SD card, open up the Album application > tap the three lines > Videos. Note! Files on the SD card are not available in the Cinema Pro menu in the Album app. Also, you cannot access files on the SD card from within Cinema Pro itself, which means that the file has to be moved back to the internal storage (DCIM/XPERIA/CINEMA_PRO) in case you want to access it again using the Cinema Pro application. I hope that helps! @GilgameshUK, that sounds strange. Are you able to save Cinema Pro recordings to the SD card if you set the data storage in the normal camera app to save photos and videos on the SD card? That should only affect photos and videos taken/recorded with the camera app, not Cinema Pro recordings. Haven't tested recording the video too long, but I can say that taking many pictures in portrait (bokeh) mode also overheats the phone. After about 20-30 continuous shooting  Eye focus becomes slow and even lags behind, it takes 1-2 seconds to take each picture, the camera app becomes very laggy and as a result I get very bad photos comparing to those which I get in the beginning of shooting. Then it says that some functions will be disabled because of overheating issues. I often take pictures of my kids and they don't stay still, they always move left and right, shaking their heads and so on. I mean conditions are not easy but I expect a flagship's camera to perform way better. ... View more

Hi @drlmiles, thank you so much for doing this test! I'm really glad to see that PD is so much faster than Qualcomm Quick Charge, even if I knew it was going to be faster, almost 40-45% faster is a big upgrade in charging speed and even if you forgot to charge your and it has 0% in the morning, it will be almost 20-25% when you are done brushing your teeth and having a shower so the morning commute is saved. The best part about PD as I mentioned in my previous post is that it's more of a general industry standard and hopefully more and more devices will support PD charging in the future. @SAWIG, thank you so much for the information and yeah, PD is more of a standard just like Qi (wireless charging) and as long as the device supports it, it doesn't really matter which charger you use, as long as it's a PD charger. Previously it was like a specific USB cable for the UCH10/UCH12 and it was quite hard to get a hold of it again if you lost it and having to carry around different cables/chargers is just an annoyance.
