Question for Sony mods I use Cinema Pro a great deal, but what I wish to know is, has Sony purposely turned off Stabalisation on this app, as its expected to have a gimbal when using this? BTW in the normal camera app and if i switch to h.265 for some reason (even though the h. is render and compression type) it stabalises even better. Any ideas?

Must be the game, mate I play high intesive games on my X1 and no issues Elder scrolls Blades (early access) runs fast and its in 21:9 format Asphal 9 Pubg on the most intensive graphics possible-again no issues.

Auto focus and manual controls Iso 200 forget shutter speed. Trick is to take the pictures one f stop too dark then lighten them with Adobe lightroom

This would be interesting and I second this idea. I would use Filmic Pro with a gimbal (still to buy one) but it does not support 21:9 aspect ratio filming. So that only leaves Cinema Pro for 21:9 films but no direct gimbal support, arrrg

This is not a genuine problem. This looks like a CHINESE AstroTurfer, trying to get a Google search to say their are serious issues with phone, all so they can sell their inferior phones that are full of spyware for their communist government. Take this complaint with a pinch of salt.

Right so far here are some high graphic capability android games that work in 21:9 ratio with no issues. By the way if you have some games to add, please reply and I will update the main list. The Elder Scrolls , Blades War Robots Ark Survival Evolved Asphalt 9 My talking TOM 2 PUB G Mobile Fortnight (special Sony modded version) Pokemon Go Thanks to Harunt Homescapes Please reply with others.

Cheers for that buddy, appreciate UPdate youtube and got netflix up and running -cheers. However with regards to cinema pro, HDR MUST be taken off as OIS does not work with HDR on ANY mode or application (Cinema pro or normal) this has also been documented on many reviews. So if i want to use Cinema pro and have stabilisation on then HDR needs to be turned off. HDR or Stabilisation on cinema pro or normal app Fully manual mode in normal camera app, cannot swap lenses. So Sony must fix things: Either update the phone to use HDR AND OIS stabilisation, or allow us to turn off HDR in Cinema pro as well as normal camera app. Great phone and I love it, however i still feel the camera applications are a work in progress.

Reason we in the UK got it very quickly-as even Sony Marketing agree with this: There is a small but FANATICALLY loyal Sony Mobile fan base, within the UK. For example I have the Z5P, the XZ Premium, the XZ3 and now I have the Xperia 1.

Had same issue here and I'm on Vodafone Solved it by going into apps Searching for Netflix, disabled updates and then reinstall from app store again. @viridis wrote: Ok so it seem you guys having issues are on O2? I love my phone however:. On the normal camera app and Cinema Pro: The promised filming (video mode) in 21:9 aspect ratio ( and feature the main reason why I got the phone) is not there. Cinema Pro HDR won't turn off either. Have a really weird issue that I cannot install Netflix, even on a hard factory reset phone and first app o download. Not one single YouTube video plays in 4k, they all play in 1440p and Amazon prime video is full hd only. I suspect the camera app 21:9 is s ork in prigress and soon to be added after an update? Xperia 1 on Vodafone contract. Can a Sony rep please help me? Apart from the above issues I love the device.

Are you joking? SONY what are you doing? You are brassing off EVERY SINGLE LOYAL Sony customer by not releasing the XZ2 Premium within the UK. Your marketing department is the worst-ever and needs to be fired. Get a grip and release the XZ2 Premium in the UK NOW! I know why you are doing this, is that you wnat to sell as many XZ2 's as possible-but this is YOUR FAULT NOT OURS....You should have not announced it SO SOON AFTER THE XZ2 I have the XZ2 Premium and i love it-but you are repaying BRAND loyalty with betraytal.

Thanks very much However I know hot to use the Sony Camera properly. The fact still remains is that it is not as good at low-light conditions, needs RAW file support (btw I REVIEW computer hardware for a living,. was one of team that designed the ABIT IP35 PRO motherboard , DFI Lanparty P45 DK UK T3RS X58 UT and the P55 DK Lanparty boards) and less obtrusive autosharpening. Sony please credit us with intelligence and LET us do any additional sharpening in software if need be- or at least add it as option in hardware=no sharpening or sharpen cheers anyway Gilgameshuk

RAW file Support Less obtrusive sharpening in the Sony Software OUTPUT TO VIDEO/TV up to 4K via USB C stop turning it off in order to force people to buy your tv's/mirrorcast please. Option to intall another version of androuid that sony has played with (not jsut the generic sony stripped down version) but with something that has more lfare and creativity.

Sony XZP under low light conditions is not very good at all. However under normal lighting its very good, i dont have a problem with it and photos are MUCH less saturated than a Sammy phone. Perhaps you have set the display to vibrant?

THE REASON why Sony has turned this feature off is that they want yoiu to buy their MIRROR cast hardware- which is a joke. Even Samsung does tv's also but their phones let you connect to any HDMI TV with no issues! Please sony do something about this.
