Do you see any error messages when you are trying to verify with your Google account? Make sure that you are using the correct Google account (the one that was previously added in the device before the reset) in case you have more than one of them.

of course its correct, google account page
tells me they see a sign in that works
except phone shows error message again and again

If you have recently changed the password on your Google account, the account will be locked out for 24 hours, but since you have waited longer than 24 hours, I would recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team and they will assist you further.
