A security policy restricts the use of USB storage

Whenever I connect a USB Thumb drive using an USB OTG adapter and let the phone scan for connected USB devices shortly after I get the above notification. I cannot use any thumb drive with my Z3+

I do NOT have any Exchange email account configured.

Firmware is 32.2.A.0.224 which is the very latest (Android 6.0.1 with Security updates from April)

What is causing this issue and how to resolve it? Thanks!

Re: A security policy restricts the use of USB storage

Hi an3k,

This could be virus scanner related, do you have a virus scanner on the device?

Re: A security policy restricts the use of USB storage

Hi Jake,

no there isn't any virus scanner installed.

But meanwhile I wiped the phone and reflashed the lastest firmware. It works now.

Re: A security policy restricts the use of USB storage

Thanks but actually I have more problems. First of all I lost all taken photos and videos ...  encrypted SD card. The other problem is that my Z3+ is eating up the battery as it were nothing Slightly frowning Face

I'm getting the same thing on my M5 and Z2. I can't access any of my flash drives.
