The fragility of the screen (and the glass back) is just ridiculous. The screen first cracked by itself after 1 month. Sony replaced it for free on the warranty, which is nice. But even with a casing and a tempered protection glass, both the screen and the back cracked with ridiculous shocks. But the worse part is that the slightest crack will make ineffective the touch screen, and thus the phone impossible to control! The Z1 was already famous for its screen fragility but Sony doesn't seem to be worried about this problem, which makes this phone hardly adapted to real life, even with the best precautions...

If you have a faulty screen then I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Dont worry you are not alone in this problem. I have had my Z3 compact for about 5 months and as on this morning I have broken my 4th front screen and second back screen. This happens sitting in the console of my car which has virtually no room for it to move so its not sliding around.
I am not paying any more money for this rubbish phone as I have no spent more in screens than the cost of the phone outright. I will never buy another sony phone again.
They know it is an issue. Just google it.

The screens of modern thin and stylish mobile phones break easily. We seem to have to accept this. And folks, it's not limited to Sony, just google a bit and you'll find out the other brands are not any stronger:

As I said earlier on this forum, just take an insurance with your new expensive phone, put it in a protective case and use it without worrying.
BTW I'm very happy with my Z3C (use it for 10 months now).
