Problem with SIM-Card

So my admittedly already pretty ravaged Xperia Z3 compact had a loose contact at times with the SD already, but now the SIM-Card seemed to join in... Overnight my phone decided to not recognize the SIM anymore. I just restarted it in the morning, SIM was accepted, I put in my pin but I still didn't have connection and couldn't call anyone. Over the course of the day I tried multiple restarts, playing with the settings, especially plane-mode because upon calling someone it said "leave plane-mode first" (which I most definetly wasn't in). Finally I got to try the SIM in a different phone and it worked perfectly. Any ideas if this is fixeable or do I have to go to a mechanic?
