@mimo

Are you still using the other Z1 that you had water damage issues?

Re: battery charging and drainage issues after update to lollipop 5.0.2

@xperiaz14

I got your message, you should stop by your local Xperia Care, this might be a hardware issue.

Re: Z1 issues after 5.0 update

Seems my problem is solved. While charging i was not using any app, though it heats up. So i switched off the phone. After 1 hour or so i unplugged it and switch it on. And after then using it till now without heating issues. Thanks.....

Re: Z1 issues after 5.0 update

doing a backup of all...

then a "repair" back to factory fresh...

it's completely different in speed and lag...  a lot of apps need updating (as Walkman makes a welcome but brief return!)

backup restore warned a lot of apps were missing, so i am reloading all the apps i used and will do the backup restore from pc....

hopefully that will sort the lag and the overheating...  so far so good...  i mean a lot of downloading and installing but it isnt getting "really hot"

(even opening "myee" caused it to rocket to a heat that saw it go "blank screen" and unresposive  before..

lets see what it is like tomorrow when its had a day of normal reloaded use...

Re: Z1 issues after 5.0 update

Updating to latest firmware 14.5.A.0.270 has improved the Z1's lagging and heating issues. Also the quick battery drain has reduced to a good extent. Easily getting backup for almost a day. Thumbs up this time to Sony :smileysmileythumbsup:
