Display vs. touchscreen (I have "repaired" my phone)

Hi.

After getting all the spare parts needed, I have today finally got to replacing battery, jack, and miniusb cover.

However I made one bad call, jumped to conclusion that to get to jack I need to remove front part, tried to use similar method and pushed against the slit on the top of the front part of the display, and well, things didn't end up well.

After reassembling the phone, it looks like new battery seem to  works. However after first showing color dots across display and briefly going to show the initial screen, the screen now stays dark all the time. I can see threads that I thik indicate broken display.

At this point I'm contemplating about three possibilities:

1) Something wasn't assembled entirely correctly and now doesn't connect

2) Touchscreen is broken

3) Display is broken

Now so far as I see, there are following replacement options:

a) Touchscreen only

b) Touchscreen+LCD

c) Touchscreen+LCD+front panel

I'm guessing I need b). However, how do I power off the phone considering display doesn't show a thing at this point?

Any other advice/hint/thing to check?

Re: Display vs. touchscreen (I have "repaired" my phone)

maybe your phone touch panel is dead, due to wrong connection or maybe you haven't assembled it correctly.
