Can I use a 2500 mAh battery instead of 2300 mAh on XPERIA ZR??

Yes but the battery power output must be the same amount - Be advised that in replacing the battery with a non branded or Sony certified may result in your warranty been voided and also be aware of some cheap batteries that can leak

Yes you can - The mah is just a measurement of how much energy it can store - the output is the bit you need to look at
