Maybe this open forum isn't as open as we think.
You can say what you like as long as you don't criticize the powers that be.
Oh and don't expect any answers!!!!

I found the UK arm of Sony there CEO
This is what o emailed him.
I would like your bring to your attention a matter of some urgency in regard to Sony Xperia z mobile handsets.
At the launch of this device it was clearly advertised
With the strong intention of offering firmwere updates the information is as follows.
There are two issues here - firstly, we aren't receiving updates in a timely fashion to fix issues experienced by most of us.
Secondly, more importantly, the device was sold under the promise from Sony that this device will have Android 4.2 "shortly after release" - Five months is no way "shortly" in the Consumer Mobile Phone market and was certainly a marketing tactic to ensure that the Xperia Z was in with a chance to compete in this very competitive market. After reading up on this and looking at the CAB site, it appears to me that we have been misled which is covered under UK regulations
Please see link to CAB
Citizens advice bureau
The only customers who have recived the updates are contracted customers with mobile networks with users like myself who have dugg Deep and paid near £500 for the phone have been rewarded with nothing in return.
I can asure you wholeheartedly I will never again buy any Sony products in my lifetime.
The long relationship from Sony walkman to bravia televisions all my life has come to an end And I am to assume this means nothing to Sony.
The trust I had has been broken and this really troubles me.
I am a growing number of customers who are very angry with the poor service from Sony customer service.
If you care to go to Sony forum title of updates for unbranded z You will see the issue at hand.
Customers have copyed the responces from sony with there bog standard copy and paste email with no real information contained.
I am now satisfied that enough time has passed from time of launch to present time to warrent the request from Sony corparation for a full refund for my handset .
I cannot go to a retailer simply Becouse the phone has not had an update as I would be laughing stock if I ask them for a refund.
But on the other hand as this product has been misold then afrid the buck really does stop with your company .
I exspect this issue to be resolved within 7 days upon recipet of this email.
None responce to my request/demand will leave me with other option but to pursue Sony through the courts systems.
I look forward to you most early responce

It will cost £150 all in and when I Win not if they pick up the tab .
I dont see how a judge could possibly side with Sony they are blightenly misold this handset.
