Re: xperia Z and Android 5

Repairing with PCC DOES NOT WORK. Don't waste your time following this standard-cure-all advise. It's still hot, it still drains the battery, the only difference is now you need to restore all of your data again.

@ChrisMCP

That's an interesting comment because it has helped other users, including myself, so don't discourage others to try it.

I too have battery drain. 96% to 66% in 3 hours. Application that uses most battery is Google Services Framework

@rajanv

Are you auto updating apps? or have auto backup on? (G+)

Re: cell standby drains battery xperia Z with 5.0 Lollipop

After reinstall/repair (clean installation) the issue still exists. cell standby shows 65% battery consumption.

Is repair / reinstall is solution or its a guess to this problem???

Identified few more issues after this is my mw600 is unable to increase the volume while playing musinc.

5.0 update decreased sound of entire system for media play , call related volice etc...

If OTA update was clean how reinstall / repair makes difference? Is there any technical difference of install via OTA and PCC ?

PCC took hours and setting up my phone back took an hour (thanks to google account)

problems still persists

@srids

PCC will delete all the apps and data, that might be causing this problem.

when did you reinstalled the update with PCC, because I'd suggested this 52 minutes ago before your last reply and you said that it took you hours.

Re: Xperia z c6602 severe battery drain by cell standby

Try restricting background data. It works for meScreenshot_2015-06-08-11-35-37.pngScreenshot_2015-06-08-11-39-58.png
