I believe you need to change the director to where you have put ADB.

Re: Disable/remove What's new in 4.4.4

Thank you so much for your prompt reply!

I followed the exact steps as described on XDA:

1: download adb (I cant post outside links yet, so just google this, there should be 3 files in a zip)
2: store it in the root of C:\
3: go into your phone Settings>about Phone>then click like 10 times on the 'build number' box until you are granted developer privileges
4: go into your phone Settings>Developer Options>and enable USB debugging and connect your phone to the computer
3: open cmd in administrator mode
4: navigate to the folder with adb by typing the following: cd c:\adb

5: type the following then press enter: adb shell
6: type the following then press enter pm block com.sonymobile.advancedwidget.entrance
7: reboot

... but after the 5th step the CDM says:

c:\adb>adb shell
error: device not found

So I have the same problem as the guys above...

Enable USB debugging mode on your device and make sure there is no password/PIN blocking the device.

Re: Disable/remove What's new in 4.4.4

You have to (manually) update the Windows USB drivers, then your phone will be found and it will work as described. For Z3 for instance you will find them here:

Re: Disable/remove What's new in 5.0.2

Hi

After follwoing everything in this post, my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact running Android 5.0.2 could not be detected by ADB.

My system has Win 7 64bit, JDK 8u45 (tried with both 32bit & 64bit version).

When Xperia Z3C is connected to laptop with USB debugging enabled, it is recognised by the system, shown in Device Manager List without any conflict, and can be accessed throu' Windows Explorer. I have also installed Sony PC Companion 2.1 to back up contatcs, messages etc. There is no password or any protection enabled in Z3C.

I tried with ADBDriverInstaller, Easy ADB v0.2.1.2, or ADB tools in command prompt, all with same result i.e, Error : device not foundd.

I even installed Android Studio but it didnot help either.

When tried to install Google USB Driver for Xperia Z3C, with device manager, it says : Windows has deterined your driver SW is up to date.

Will appreciate if any one can give some insight into this.

Re: Disable/remove What's new in 4.4.4

Serious!

Is this the solution!?

I don’t know how to do this.
How can you implement an application that makes that
people will never by anything from your brand ever again?

2 customers less and everyone I can convince to never by this
ransom stuff for a lot of mony.
