One thing worth to try is cleaning phone jack socket with compressed air or small stick (I used toothpick with small piece of tissue). After this cleaning operation plugging/unplugging earphones redirects sound correctly again.

This solved the issue for me.
Just pull the headphone jack in and out a few times very quickly.... it just worked for me..
I hope it'll work..
I can tell you what I do to my Nokia 3.1, after removing my headphones I have shutdown the mobile and start it up again, when I do that everything is back to normal, it might work for you too.
