Alarm not working

Hi, I have a problem with the alarm on my XZs. Sometimes its working, sometimes not. So now I have three alarms on to be sure one works. Anyone experienced this? This morning  it didn't work again.

I guess its just one of those things with Sony.. Great phone but with lots  of bugs.

Hello everyone!

You might experience that your recurring alarm sometimes does not ring. This is a known behaviour that will be corrected in a later software release.

Note! Software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

Until the new software is available, try one the following workarounds:

 

  • Disable your recurring alarm and enable it again every time you want to set the alarm, for instance, every night.
  • Set a couple of alarms with some minutes in between, for instance, 7:00 AM and 7:05 AM.

Affected software: 41.3.A.2.58 or earlier on Android 8

Start troubleshooting by restarting your phone into safe mode, this will disable all installed 3rd party apps. If the problem is resolved then one of your installed apps is causing this issue and you have to figure out which one. Start by uninstalling those apps you installed recently.

I have absolutely the same problem. After Oreo update,  my alarm is living his own life. Sometimes he is ringing some times not. I brought back to life my old Z1 just for alarm and it is waking me up much better than XZ. Shame...

I noticed the other day that the clock stopped. My phone said 10.12, but I thought that it couldnt be right.. So I cheched again, and then it changed to 10.38 while I watched.

I think that can be the reason why my alarm didn't ring. That my phone doesnt know what time it is...  Its been working for at long time now though.
