Re: After oreo update battery is draining fast

Same issue after update to Android 8.

Battery goes down at least twice faster vs Android 7

Provide the following screenshots

follow the steps

Charge the phone 100%
use it as you normally would
once the battery has reached 10%
Settings
Battery
take a screenshot of this

Show all consuming apps
take screenshots of the list
tap on the top 5 items/apps on the list and take screenshots of each
post them all here

@ganyKicks

I don't see anything wrong with those screenshots, I thought the issue was while the phone wasn't being used at night.

Re: After oreo update battery is draining fast

U mean to say without using email apps and messaging apps the battery will last only for 16 hours....

What if I listen to some music, play some games and videos.... The battery will last only for 10 to 12 hours.... That's very poor.....

Check the screen shot properly.... The PHONE IDLE using the highest 12% battery....the top 4 processes consuming 40% of battery are

1.phone idle

2.android os

3.google play services

4.android system

Even the screen consumed only 7% battery ...

My question is

Why phone idle process consuming more battery than the android system....

How abt that???!

Re: After oreo update battery is draining fast

Hello @ganyKicks;

It is normal the "Phone Idle" process to consume more then the "Android OS" process as it is normal for it to consume about 430mAh in 16 hours it happens the same in my XZ Premium, only the screen maybe should consume more in about 4 hours but I am not familiar with the XZs screen consumption.

Still, is it not too short for a mobile of xperia standard to consume its battery in just 16 hrs when there are mobiles in the market wd same spec lasting for at least 20 to 22 hrs under normal usage.

I have a redmi 3s which lasts more than 24 hrs after full charge at normal usage.

Simply to put am charging the xperia daily wer as the 3s is charged once in two days....

Re: After oreo update battery is draining fast

@ganyKicks;

It all depends on the apps you have installed, the way you have your phone configured, and the way you use it. Are these same conditions exactly equal on both phones? I can tell you that my XZ Premium with 5 hours of screen and the way I use it on working days also don't last more than 15 hours, but if I only use it to take calls it can last 3 days.

Re: After oreo update battery is draining fast

Hi!

I updated my XZs 41.3.A.2.107 build version.

The battery drain in half day.

The battery menu doesn't work well.

The settings menu always froozen.

I can't restart my phone.

I repaired software with the Xperia Companion, but the phone still bad!

Can you recommend any solution?

Thanks!
