As Google said, the gestures navigation is something that OEMs can choose to adopt, or not. However, Sony Mobile, on Xperia XZ3 as present Side Sense, which gives you some gestures navigations. I know is not the same, but let´s wait to see if the official rollout for other devices includes this option or not.
I will, however, ask for this
