i´m not sharing your opinion, that the WiFi issues are related to Oreo 8.0.0 system. If you take a look at the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact forum here, you will recognize, that there is only one person reporting problem with WiFi. Not the same mass like in the XZ1 forums. The XZ2 series is on the same 8.0.0 system, like the XZ1 series. I guess, after cross-reading several forums, that the problem is with the Qualcomm 835 chipset... If a fix is possible (newer kernel and drivers) , i don´t know but really hope for it...

Oddly, my phone is working as intended at my sister's house and she is also using the same VM SuperHub as mine. Have no idea what cause mine to not working properly at my house.

I want a new phone now, even if they go back to an older model as my previous phone was fine before I upgraded.
We have been ignored for months .
At one point a support member messged and asked some details.. Again that conversation ended after receiving the information.
I've asked for an update that way too and again been ignored.
Only option left is to copy the conversations and pass them on to a newspaper in the hope they can get us some answers. 5 months now we have had a phone that doesn't do what it say it does.
If someone from Sony wants to send me a new phone on next day delivery before I do this I will be waiting until Sunday ready to send you my address and imei number to have it sent to my home.

I also have issues with the Wi-Fi connection after updating to version 47.1.A.12.179. Every time I have to reboot my phone to get rid of this problem for 2-3 days.

I can barely even get 2 minutes before I have to turn my wifi on and on.. I wish I could even get 20 minutes at a time

I wonder why some have such agressive wifi disconecting problem and some dont. I have this problem too but its almost rare now.. may be like 2 times per month or less... kinda make me think if its not a HW issue.

Had some temporary issues, but last update solved it 100%, I can connect everywhere and to everything. I don't think it's Snapdragon's fault at all. People who have no issues also run Snapdragon 835 right, there was no hidden motherboard change or "refreshed edition" of XZ1. The total change is XZ2 and I suppose it's always that way.
Whe should check the versions we own and production date, maybe if it occurs in older batches, there's a chance to get a proof to exchange for younger release. It helped in Z2 users, when they prooved that first release wasn't water resistant, why not Try?

This is what I have, as you can see I don't have WiFi long enough to write and post this so have to use data.
What is the difference with people who's WiFi connection lasts more than a couple of minutes compared to mine?
Is anyone else's as bad as mine?
