Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

By February update, Wi-Fi problem still exists. Version 47.1.a.12.75 .

Did you mean February's update or an upgrade next month?

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

I have the compact and have the exact same issue. The issue is on all wifi networks not just my home one. Numerous emails to support are getting copy and pasted replies and are now saying send back phone for repair. I have used my monthly data in the last 3 weeks because of this when i normally only use 1/4 of itScreenshot_20180210-182430.png

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

i uninstalled or disable or unistalled updates of some sony's apps like "what's new", "xperia lounge" and some more of their bloatware, i did a network settings reset and i didn't have any disconnects or any wifi problem for 20 days now. I used to have problems too. I don't know which of them causes the problem.

(i didnt' touch sony photos or music)

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

My worry is that with the wifi problem i won't be able to download the update with the fix. I only have a small amount of monthly data and only have 500mb left of this months due to the wifi not working

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

I initially cured the problem under 47.1.A.12.34 by settings > system > reset > reset network settings,  re-entering my router password and turning the phone on and off.  However this morning the firmware upgraded to 47.1.A.12.75 and the wi-fi dropping problem returned.  I had to reset network settings again and the wi-fi appears to be stable again.  This is a pain because the reset clears all saved network connections and bluetooth.

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

Temporary solution:
When not connected, turn on and off airplan mode and re-connect to wifi. No need to reboot the phone.

please report me.

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

My wi-fi is stable again now so too late to test the airplane plane mode toggle.  I'll have to wait until the next firmware upgrade which will no doubt cause the problem to return Slightly smiling Face

Re: Wi-Fi problems after lasteast update 47.1.a.12.34

Hi support,

Just wondering if there's any update to this problem yet? I've had to upgrade my contract for the next 24 months to get more data due to the wifi issue
