looking forward to driving to work in order to test your solution.

No doubt it's going to solve the issue.

Re: Streaming Bluetooth audio in car

Hi.

I'm sad to say it did not work.

My car is Ford Fiesta 2015.

On my previous Z3c it worked

Re: Streaming Bluetooth audio in car

Happy to find this thread: XZ1 Compact + Alfa Romeo Uconnect 5. Will see tomorrow if the solution works.

EDIT: Works. Partially - still no title/artist display, but setting AVRCP to 1.5 at least makes steering wheel buttons work again. Going down to 1.4 doesn't make any difference.

Re: Streaming Bluetooth audio in car

On my Fiesta 2015 steering wheel buttons work with any bluetooth AVRCP version.

And no title/artist displayed anyway.

'change AVCRP from 1.6 to 1.4.'  -  fixed in one car, not in the other

Re: Streaming Bluetooth audio in car

I have the same problem as other Ford Fiesta 2015 owners have started above.
Out of the box audio works, however no track information is displayed on the Ford SYNC head unit. I have tried from the Music app, Amazon Music and Spotify.

I tried un-pairing, changing AVRCP to 1.4 and 1.5 in developer options, clearing the Bluetooth and Bluetooth MIDI app storage and then rebooting for each then re-pairing. Neither 1.4 or 1.5 brought back the track and artist information.

I have tested pairing a friend's phone (OnePlus 5 also running Android 8.0.0 (Oreo) with the same carand track and artist information worked from all apps so this seems to be a Sony specific issue.

This worked previously with my Xperia Z5 Premium running Android Marshmellow.

Phone software details: Android Oreo 8.0.8. Phone model G8341. Build number 47.1.A.12.145. Android security patch level 1 April 2018.

Re: Streaming Bluetooth audio in car

I've just discovered this problem with my new Ford Tourneo.

My wife's Sony xa1 phone works and my mates Samsung Galaxy works and I get everything but track title and artist when playing downloaded music, Deezer and Podcasts.

I can play the same play list from Deezer on my wife's phone and the info comes up no problem.

Needs to be sorted Sony!

Peace and Love x
