Hello! Can somebody please help me here? I've got an Xperia XZ1 for about one and a half year now. But for about two months now my phone freezes on goes Off and On at least once a day. I did the industrial reset but no changes. Is there any solution other to buy a new phone? Thanks for the help.

I would test the phone without a SIM card or with a brand new SIM card, also remove the SD card for a day just to narrow down the issue.

Hi @Eddixperiaxz1, sorry to hear about this.
Was there any change after you tried what @uliwooly suggested? If there wasn't and you have already performed a factory reset, I would recommend that you try and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion.
This is a bit different from a normal factory reset as it will also remove the software in the device and reinstall it, in case the software is the cause of this. As always when resetting your device, all data stored on the internal storage will be deleted, but you can backup your data using the same program.

Thanks for the solutions and support you've proposed me. I had try, all these before but it didn't work so I decided to take it to my network operator since it is still under guarantee two times in one month but problem keeps occurring again and again. All they could tell is that a general check and there's nothing wrong with phone. I have never this problem with any other Sony or Xperia phones so far.

Hi again @Eddixperiaxz1 and sorry to hear that there was no change even after the device was at service.
It can be a bit tricky for the service centre to find the fault if it does not always occur all the time and they need to test the device for a longer period of time, so it's important to be very precise with the error description, so the device can be tested correctly at the service centre.
How often do the restart occur and are you doing anything specific in the device when they occur?
