Re: when is end of life support?

XZ1C is Android Enterprise Recommended - that mean it should receive security updates for three years - until September 2020.

However we still didn't get July update, so don't expect Sony will fulfill this promise.

And here you have the rules of the program: https://www.android.com/enterprise/recommended/

You have to scroll down, select knowledge workers device in requirements and scroll it to last section. Pasted below Slightly smiling FaceScreenshot_20190810-125248.png

Re: when is end of life support?

@nolramlb July security update was not released to XZ1 family. It's not the matter of customisation.

@uliwooly

You are right. Still, 90 days days means we should see rollout until end of this month - when 90 days from 1st of June passes.

I'm totally fine with it - if we see it. And this is quite unusual for Sony to rollout security fix with such delay. In last year's it was always within 30 days. Or eol 😏

Re: when is end of life support?

Still on July 2019 Security Update in October. Concerned about recent Android Kernel Zero-day exploit just uncovered. Especially since XZ1C has just passed 2yr release anniversary. Getting really tired of Android 2yr support and may just have to move to iphone for longer support even if Apple is having update and security issues of their own
