XZ1 compact no longer works as usual

Gr, Arie

Since a few months my Sony Smartphone no longer works as I was used to in the beginning. My device is now over 1 year old and has since received monthly updates. However, the performance has since declined whereby I now have to reset my Smartphone every 2 to 3 days to get a properly working WiFi. I suspect that especially the Update to Android 9 is responsible for this.

Sony, please do something about this

Otherwise, I have to buy a new smartphone, but that will no longer be Sony.

Re: XZ1 compact no longer works as usual

Do you have IPv6 router? Could you use it on IPv4 mode?

Yes, XZ1C has this problem with WiFi, one of the workarounds is to use IPv4 or 2,4GHz only. Or to buy another phone.

Re: XZ1 compact no longer works as usual

@Xzca

Gr, Arie

I cannot hope that I will have to purchase a new Smartphone for this. As for your advice.

What does ipv4 have to do with 2.4 MHz.

I can disable ipv6 on my modem / fouter.

Elsewhere I would then depend on others. I have just recently activated ipv6 to experience whether this works better. On ipv4 alone I also had these WiFi 5.0 MHz problems I don't use either. (switched off)

I have again provided my Smartphone with Software with the program Xperia Companion.

Re: XZ1 compact no longer works as usual

Sorry for discussing in the wrong languase. What i have tried to report is that ik was able to repair the software on my smartphone with the proper PC based program. It works fine again for at least a week without earlier problems with my WiFi. Lucky, is was not necessary to to buy a new smartphone instead. Thanks for helping. Gr, Arie
