I got updated to the 47.1.A.12.75. Problem is not solved. GPS-icon keeps being displayed.

Actually it seemed to be fixed in .75 also but then it came back. Lets wait a little. If they fix the gps, they also fixed the wifi.

But I doubt since patch had ~200 MB...

Hi Everyone,

You might experience that GPS icon is visible in the status bar although the location setting is off. This is known and will be corrected in a future software release.

However, please note that Software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

It is not just the icon, but making Google Play Service location really using mobile data, and it used ~400MB for location since 11 March.

@Profyler1, maybe you could be a bit more specific on your confirmation it's not fixed? Just because I'm curious.

For me update to 47.1.A.12.119 is now more than 26 hours away and I don't see a permanent location icon anymore. I start an app that requires location, so icon appears, I close app and icon disappears immediately. (And for testing I really started most of my location based apps.)

It behaved ok for a few hours, then the icon wouldnt go away. so the bug is still there.

Re: GPS icon always on firmware 47.1.A.12.34

47.1.A.12.119 has fixed the icon problem in my phone. That's now 48 hours without a restart since the update. Previously it would come on a few hours after a restart, even if the phone was idle during that time.
