Neither a 'disable' OR 'force close' option

I want to disable certain apps from my 'Consuming Apps' list because they're using up battery power/CPU in the background. The problem is that none  of them have this option and only a couple of them can be force closed which doesn't keep them closed for long! Can someone help me with this issue please?
