My XZ suddenly rebooted after a hard fall and then a prompt appear saying audio settings stopped, since then no audio ever heard, sound and mic diagnostics failed even with the *#*#7378423#*#* setting test. Even when using external audio speaker i.e a Bluetooth speaker or earphone, the phones lags when I try to play audio.
I have tried software repair but it was unsuccessful. Will go to a repair Centre in the near future when I have the time as this might be a hardware issue

sound has suddenly stopped working , try to click on audio settings says its stopped to restar the app, no sound at all, tried hard re set and nothing ,, hellllp

Does restarting your phone help? Do you experience the same issue in safe mode?

I have the same problem, but it works with a headset. I know the audio on my phone works because alarms work, but no audio on speakers when its something else then an alarm. It also works in safe mode so im sure there must be a way to fix this right?

I am having this issue too ever since updating my software.
I find it very disturbing seeing this many with the EXACT same scenario getting passed off as hardware faults.
Can you try just giving us XZ users some support and fix this SOFTWARE issue?
I have this exact scenario too now and have done the factory reset. The phone is in mint condition. Please, provide us with a fix or I'm getting my money back. This is disgraceful!!
