It doesn't hide in Oreo either, so I think the no difference.

While in oreo the auto navigation was working find for all app. Its just after the update that it stop working for some apps.

There hasn't been any solution by now, has there? I just updated a couple of days ago and find it super annoying that the nav bar won't hide. Makes the screen way too small ...

Hi, it appears to be some kind of android "feauture" on OLED Devices to prevent burn in of the navbar icons. Someone on Reddit managed to turn it off with root. Besides that it's well... Just a "feature".
