Cross beside WiFi icon

I often have issues properly connecting to Wi-Fi when I'm on a bus that has free Wi-Fi

Today it brought up the Web page to sign in, then Google Chrome said that there were security issues which I know for a fact there's none.

Instead of connecting the WiFi icon on status bar had a white cross, now I'm not referring to mobile cellular data or mobile web, I'm referring to WiFi.

On menu right side there's use site as is or no to the site, if I use as is there's an issue with secure pages.
