How can I enable Volte on my g3212 device, where the operator is supporting Volte.

Hi @Atiyeh, welcome to our forum!

The setting can be found in Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network > Preferred network type > LTE or 4G (preferred)/3G/GSM > tap on "Enable VoLTE" to activate VoLTE.

 

Keep in mind that there are other requirements than just the operator supporting the feature.

  • your operator and subscription (incl. SIM card) must support VoLTE for the device model you're using.
  • depending on operator, your phone must sometimes be operator-branded and/or use operator-customised system software.
  • your phone must be in range of an LTE/4G network.

If you don't have the option in the Settings menu, get in touch with your operator to make sure that they support it for this specific model, if you need a customized version of the software and it's only enabled in that one and that your subscription supports the feature.

Thanks dear for your feedback, I am from the technical in the operator. and we have lunched the IMS, but my device does not have the Volte option. could you advise about the needed.

Hi @Atiyeh,

This is a bit tricky for me to answer as I don't know the exact procedure to have the function enabled from the operator side or how to enable it in the software, this is something that you will need to talk to the Sony representative for your retail chain/country about and they will be able to assist you further with this. I only work with technical support for the devices and I'm not involved in the contact with operators/development of software.

If you don't have a contact person at the moment, get in touch with the Local support team in your market and they can point you in the right direction.
