I have translated your question to English as this is an International forum, please post any replies in English and it will be easier for me and other users to assist you.

You can update your device if you go Settings > (System) > Software update. Here you will see if there are any updates available for your device. If you receive a new notification about an available software after you have installed one, that means that there were more than one update available and you can only do one of them at the time.

You can also update your device using a computer and the program Xperia Companion which you can download on the link below.

https://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperia-companion/

Connect your phone to the computer > start the program > click on "Software update" and follow the on-screen instructions.

I apologize for writing in Arabic because my foreign language is weak but when I entered the Sony support application I have an update 8 available... But when I go to the settings I don't have any notice and I downloaded the Sony Campanion app. When I press the iconization update i have a window that there is an error... Please help.

That sounds strange, do you know what the error said when you tried to use Xperia Companion to update your device?

Hello sir,

May i ask also about my xperia xa1's problem about touch edges doesn't work properly? I did not update it to oreo after i read some comments in the forum that after they updated to oreo, the problem gets worse. Hope you can help me with this sir. I love my xperia xhone thats why i won't stop until i find a solution for this thank you ☺️

The support application was recently updated and includes a test now for the edges of the display, how does it work in this test?

You can find the test in Settings > Support > Xperia tests > Touch screen (the second part of the test is for the edges of the display). If you don't have the test, take a look in the Google Play store and see if there are any updates available for the "Support" application.

Hi sir, 

 

The second part of the test is not for the edges of the screen test sir. Or what you mean is after i update my nougat version 7.0 to oreo then thats the time a new screen test  will show? Sorry sir im i bit confused. See attached photo sir, that's my screen test.

Hi again @LOrDkELviN,

When you press Yes or No in the test and new test will appear that will show a line around the screen that you should follow.

That one is available even if you are on Android 7.0 as it's the app that needs to be updated and yours is as it shows "Part 1 of 2".

Please do that test and let me know how it works!

Hi again!

Yeah, it's not super optimal for the very outer edges. There is a second test that is hidden in the service menu of the device and I wanted to wait with this one since most of the time, it's enough with the test in the Support app.

Open up the Phone app and type in *#*#7378423#*#* > Service test > Touch > Free Drawing test.
