Re: xperia XA: massive battery drain

@JazAmora909, At best is about 2% per 15 minutes.
@uliwooly, I already know the 4G is bad at home (2 bars). But it doesn't explain
good 4G coverage going to work.

This is a screenshot of an average day when I'm forced to turn on 4G whenever
I need data and then GSM-only when I get back home.
When I'm working I have to force it into airplane mode to save battery
because reception at work is worse than at home. I go out of airplane mode
at lunch and occasionally to check calls.

I use bluetooth for internet radio to work, at lunch, and after work (2 hrs?). And whatsApping
all day whenever I get a break or eating. Also had a quick voice call and played some mp3 for 20-25 mins.
Am I a (light?) user?? I am left with the below chart at 66%.

Daily

And this is airplane mode when I'm asleep at night.

Airplane
That's the best I can get after disabling all the sony bloat I don't use and
denying location and nfs or any other stuff that google play wants in the
permissions. I also denied (i hope) WhatsNew and any furthur updates
via the 'pm hide' technique (i hate stuff lurking around in the background).

Is this a 2-day phone? ?? I guess if you don't turn it on, it's an 'Any'day
phone. But for average usage,.. nah. You are definitely going to have to
charge it at the end of the day.
I'm not a gamer or a video watcher, so I can live with it. And the power issue
I can adjust to. I will keep using it till my next phone which will not
be a Sony, not because of the power issue, but because
of the bloat that cannot be uninstalled and even some that cannot be disabled.
I will try Motorola next, they have a better reputation for bloat and power consumption.

Re: xperia XA: massive battery drain

If Sony will go with the same problematic battery, there's nothing to say.

Battery Fix for Xperia XA in upcoming Nougat Update

As you may see, many are still suffering from extremely poor battery life with the Xperia XA.

Sony has confirmed that this device will get Android Nougat. There is no point of updating the device if this problem continues in the new version.

Even with features such as stamina mode, doze as well as switching off wifi scanning, the problem still persists and the updates have not completely fixed the issue as improvements in battery life are only minimal.

If this device is getting the nougat update then battery life should be the first priority before considering other features.
