Re: Android 8 Oreo the wired headset (with controls on the wire) not recognized

Excuse me, when is Sony gonna answer? I'm asking this from the first day of the update to Android 8.0.0 Oreo from February 16, 2018?

Local service emailed, if I need anything elese. I responded with link to this discusion.

Their response:

Re: Android 8 Oreo the wired headset (with controls on the wire) not recognized

I got it first time. I am OK with knowledge that it is not hardware and will be eventually solved.

I just hoped you raise flag up higher about quality of local services. This thread and lot of others would not be there if local services were better informed.

My new phone will probably be sony compact, do not want to go trough this ever again.

Re: Android 8 Oreo the wired headset (with controls on the wire) not recognized

Today, once again contacted the technical support of Sony in Russia. Here is a screenshot of the chat. Am asking forgiveness, that on Russian language. I'll translate the main point. Again was advised to do a software repair. And then simply declared "According to our data of the malfunction specified by You it isn't recorded in this version of the software"

Will try in the future more not to mess with Sony. Захват3.JPG

Re: Android 8 Oreo the wired headset (with controls on the wire) not recognized

Hi Everyone,

You might experience that some types of cable headsets with a voice control button do not work with your Xperia X Compact running on Android™ Oreo. This will be fixed in a future software version.

Note! Software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

Affected SW Versions

SW 34.4.A.0.364
SW 34.4.A.2.19
SW 34.4.A.2.32
