The only info is that the Z series and SP will get it android 4.3, and that Sony is testing other Xperias running 4.1 to update them to 4.3 that's about it, check the official news blog for more info.
My opinion is that the Xperia S will not get 4.4, but that's my opinion

but now imo, 4.4 is lightest os component which can suite 512 mb ram with 4.1 can get 4.4 update..
according to sonyblog,
sxs will not get update.. this not so nice..
sxs should get 4.4 update, no other go..
sxs user can request 4.4 update..
only then v can receive that update asap.. it's on the hands of sxs users..

Hello, Yes Android 4.4 can run in devices with 512MB RAM. But major obstacle for Sony Xperia S is its Snapdragon S3 processor. Qualcomm stopped driver support for S3 chips. So it is mostly impossible to get new OS updates. But lets hope we get good performance updates or may be OS updates if possible.
