Xperia M5 apps and power usage

Hello one and all,

 I had an Xperia Z1 compact until recently, then I got Xperia M5 which I'm happy with apart from one issue. I hope someone can help with this.

I have loaded the same apps on to my M5 as I had on my Z1 compact. In order to conserve battery power I use "Clean Master" app to clean up RAM and to hibernate apps that are consuming power in the background.

When I used this app on my Z1 it would normally hibernate between 5 and 10 apps. But with my M5 the total number of apps that needs to be hibernated keeps getting longer and longer. It initially detected 14, but is getting longer by the day.

For example, I ran the hibernate feature last night before going to bed and 29 apps were dealt with. I then re-ran the hibernate feature this morning and 31 apps needed to be dealt with, yet the phone had been idle all night. You can also run the app, and then run it again 10 minutes later and all the apps that were hibernated before are back up and running again.

It seems that once you use an app, it can't be stopped?

Is this a problem with the M5 or with the app itself? I would love to hear of anyone having the same issue, and what can be done to stop this, because battery life is dreadful at the moment, which is not a good thing on a new phone.

Thanks and kind regards,.....Dean (amazingmin)

Re: Xperia M5 apps and power usage

I am guessing your Z1 wasn't running the same android version as the M5?
The Stamina mode is a much better alternative to save battery than any app killer.

@Amazingmin

It's an app problem, also, you don't need such app, if you are on Lollipop you can use Stamina mode, if you are on Marshmallow you can use Doze.
