For about a week now, system-ui has stopped at 12:48 (every day) (and only at that time!) only think I can do is restart the phone. (+ background is gone). For the rest of the day eveything works good.
I searched the internet and no solution found yet.
I reset my phone yesterday.. but today I had the same issue at 12:48.
Does anyone has an idea?
Some say I have to delete 'Google-app' updates.. but I can't find this on my M5..
And isn't it stange it stops every day at the same time?

I have had the same problem for about a week too. I already tried uninstalling updates for Google and it hasn't fixed the issue. My one tends to happen around 10pm but had also happened at other times. I don't always get the system UI fault. It just changes my wallpaper to a default and freezes. When I restart the phone everything works fine till it happens again.

Hi, my Xperia M5 has started doing exactly the same thing, usually around 11am. I get the message saying UI has stopped, then the screen keeps flashing on and off. I turn it off then back on, it's lost my wallpaper setting but works OK again until the next day when it starts all over again! I hope someone can resolve this or else I'll be forced to look for a new phone.

It can be an app acting up, or an aged system. I'd suggest that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to backup using Xperia Companion, but preferably without adding apps or settings to the backup.
