M5 suddenly shuts off every 10 minuts
HELLO THERE I HAVE SAME ISSUE HERE.. MY XPERIA M5 GOT RESTART AND I DONT KNOW WHY
UNTIL I READ THE COMMON ISSUE M5 HERE IN FORUM
BUT I GOT SOLUTION BASE ON MY OBSERVATION
IF YOUR USING XPERIA M5 NOW TRY THIS STEPS I WISH IT WILL HELP YOU A LOT
STEP 1 - GO TO SETTINGS
STEP 2 - GO TO "MORE"
STEP 3 - GO TO "MOBILE NETWORKS"
STEP 4 - CHANGE YOUR "PREFERED NETWORK" TO "GSM" ONLY
MY XPERIA NOW IS NOT RESTARTING THIS TIME WHEN I CHANGE MY PREFERED NETWORK
HOPE IT WILL WORKS IN UR M5..

@JiiPEe Yeah, I also noticed this behaviour with my device under cold temperatures! Guess that's another trigger for a faulty battery...

I have solved my shutdown problem with the M5 almost by accident. After I installed an app called Battery and put it on Customized Mode with a 15 seconds standby time, the shutdown stopped. From what I have seen, it looks like a software/android glitch related to the battery. I don´t know if this will solve every M5 shutdown problem, but I think it is worth a try. Good luck everybody!!

Do you disable Sony's own battery saver?
How was it so far?
I have updated to Lollipop 5.1 yesterday, but the issue still there.

Yes, Sony have had that. Send your phone to SC in your country to have your phone's battery replace. It is a hardware issue, so cannot repair by FW.
