You have 2 options
2) manually update your phone

I am from Germany and do have a C2005 which does not update as well. Shortly after the announcement the Update Center itself was updated, but after that I only received updates for applications like Walkman. I don't think we are all in need for this update (though I manually check multiple times a day), but it's frustrating to know it is out there - we just don't get it ;-)
I actually have a question concerning the approvel process of the carriers. I bought the phone without branding and switch carriers quite often. Is the dependance on the approvel of the carrier only relevant for branded phones? If no, does it depend on the carriers of both sim cards or just one or...?

If you update when it is available, there is no problem. But if you manually update, you might have problems validating warranty afterwards.
