FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING flashing in some artificial light.

As the subject matter. IT IS NOT YOUR PHONE, hardware or software fault.

Its the QUALITY and SCAN rate of the lighting does not match the phones scan rate, rather like a film camera taking a video of an old CRT monitor.......

 

DO NOT SEND YOUR xperia 1 phone back its not a fault.

Been saying that for years tbh, people still don't believe it though.

Is it safe to take my tinfoil hat off, in this thread.

Ha, I remember a recent thread regarding this, and the posters ignored you Viridis, and still berated Sony, even though, wasn't it some cheap dim restaurant light that was the issue, and I'm almost positive that Sony were blamed, but another brand of phone would never, ever, ever do this.

 

Agree about the video though, and that reflection shows it really well, with the excellent quality lighting in those glass cabinets, being perfectly lit.

I agree, whilst HDR range needs to be improved as well as  OIS to work properly in high Res recording, the lighting thing is not an issue.
