I have already downgraded my MW1.
Before that, I used to apply the method you have described every day several times.
After resetting, stuttering would have gone for about a couple of hours. But later, I had to reset it again.
Seems to me that, there is some overflowing or something like that in MW1's later software, and resetting is the only way to make it work normally until it overflows again.
Since I have downgraded my device, everything is fine now.

How did you downgrade from version 0.1.E.1.5? The link you provided is gonna take you to phone update software download not accessories.
I think this link will take you to MW1 update page, and I have not seen any downgrade option there. Please can you provide the downgrade link.

the soft isn't pc compagnion. It's update service dl it here : http://www.sonymobile.com/fr/tools/update-service/
It will downgrde to 0.1.D.0.6

Just downloaded firmware 0.1.E.1.6 through the pc updater. Fingers crossed it seems to have done the trick and fixed the playback problems.

Didnt noticed any new firmware the last two hours!
Edit : Nah the 0.1.E.1.5 is still the last firmware for me.
