I have a new Xperia Z3 compact. I'm running Android 6.0.1 (marshmellow).
I have one problem so far. The app "What's new" refuses to upgrade. It has the error message "Could not install"
I managed to upgrade "What's new" from version 3.4.A.0.7 to version 3.5.A.1.4. I did this by downloading the apks and upgrading one version at a time.
When I tried to install "What's new" version 3.5.A.1.6 I had the original problem "Could not install".
I've cleared the data/cache of "What's new" and uninstalled updates but nothing helps.
I don't want to Factory reset the phone as I have everything else working as I like it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.
I uninstalled the updates and tried in safe mode as you suggested but I had the same results.
It appears I can't install "What's new" for any version 3.5.A.1.6 or higher.

I contacted LocalSupport and their advice was to perform a Software Repair using Sony Companion.
I was hoping for something different but I backed up what I could and performed the procedure.
I was unaware that some Android Apps refused to allow backups but the Software Repair fixed the original issue.
After playing around with my phone for a further hour or so everything was back to normal.
Thanks for the advice @uliwooly
