The support app?
I'm thinking to replace the app with the original phone version & give it a try.
But if the old version worked then the updated version is faulty?
Also tried what you said but my phone is already has the latest update as Xperia companion shows.
Seems like it's an app issue that has no fix.
At last thank u for your concern & your help.
Hi @Amin96, let me see if I can help out here.
The Xperia Tests in the support app is intended to test different hardware functions in your device. The Media-test is intended to test the earspeaker, the loudspeaker and the microphones on your device.
If the Media test fails, it is an indication that one of the functions do not work as intended. The first thing that I suggest that you do is to check the microphone for any water or dust blocking the microphone or the area around the microphone. Also, make sure that the microphone is not blocked by any case or protective film.
As @uliwooly mentioned, if the same behaviour persists in safe mode, try repairing the software on your phone using Xperia Companion and a computer. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so make sure to do a backup of your user data before the repair to prevent data loss.
If none of these measures manages to get you through the test, I suggest that you get in contact with your local support team. They can help you to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be physically examined. If you have any questions regarding the service, such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these type of questions are best answered by your local support team as well, as they vary between markets.
I hope that helped!
I don't think that i have hardware issues because the old version of support Xperia tests all passed successfully
And when i tried *#*#7378423#*#* service Xperia test, Loudspeakers,EarSpeakers and microphone all worked properly
So i can't figure out what's wrong. Can it be the app itself?!
Taking into consideration i already have the latest software installed and nothing else is wrong with my android software so why do i need to repair it
It doesn't make sense.
Thank you @Amin96 for your quick reply!
In that case, try clearing data for the support app. This will reset all settings for the app in question which might do the trick. In order to do this, find and tap Settings > Apps > Support > Storage > Clear data > Tap "OK" > Restart the phone.
I hope that helped!
Thank you for your help.
I think what you suggested might have worked with me .
But What i did , I uninstalled any updates for the support app, and then downloaded the latest one and restarted the phone , then the problem is fixed by itself ,
And thank you again for your support.
Thank you @Amin96 for reporting back to me
I am glad that you managed to sort it out! Let me know if you have any further questions!
