           How to upgrade the andriod version 2.1 to latest version of andriod in Sony ericcson W8 phone

We do not offer a path to upgrade past our planned 2.1 Android OS. However there are certainly methods, that while they would void your warranty and effect performance, that can be applied to the phone. Other users may suggest these methods.

I think Xperia Users deserve a better reason on to why their phones aren't receiving any future updates and NO it's not due to hardware limitations

Re: take a look n think again...bout x8 android 2.1!!!!

As the hardware of the X8 handset does not meet Google's requirements for the higher Android OS versions, unfortunately it would not be possible for us to update this model.
