Re: Remove 5.0 Operating System

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

I need help with downgrading. How safe is it? And a complete guide.

Hello!

Since I hate Lollipop for too many reasons, I want to downgrade to KitKat.
I also have to mention the fact that I bought the phone from Orange(if you know them) with a subscrition to mobile data, sms and credit for talking, so it is not SIM-free and they sticked their nose a little bit into Android. This might count too.

I want to know what is the best method for downgrading and why?
Will I loose my warranty? ***maybe yes,..
But, will everything be fine if I make a back-up before.... So if everything goes wrong, I can come back to my overbloated Lollypop Android(Google's apps+Sony's+Orange's)

And last, but not least, a full guide, as detailed as possible, for downgrading?

Thank you very much and I appreciate any help. Grinning Face

Re: I need help with downgrading. How safe is it? And a complete guide.

Thank you! But I still don't know what's the thing with backups. in the next context:

1. I make a back-up right now

2. I downgrade

3. Something goes wrong

4. I restore to my back-up

will everything be as in the beginning after the restore?

Question number 2:

After, or during the procces of downgrading, is it neccesary to root the phone? Can that also be restored?

@Mano_Z3C

It will be restored without any apps or google accounts

you don't have to root the phone

Please help us downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0.2

I only just recently bought my z3 compact, and then upgraded the software to 5.1.1

The first three weeks, the battery lasted for 2-3 days. Now it only lasts for 1 day.

With hard earned money as a university student, I finally got myself to buy this phone as a present for myself after having used the original xperia z, and after a successful surgery too.

I'm actually heart broken that this update has destroyed my battery usage.

Please help us downgrade to 5.0.2.

Flashing kitkat 4.4.4

I am using the "emma" tool to flash my phone to kitkat 4.4.4 but the file actually flashes lollipop 5.0.2. Is there anyway to fix this, or a way to manually flash kitkat.
