As you all know photos are grainy and have some unacceptable over processing effects regardless what mode I use ( Auto/ Manual).
This is not a good thing for sony since they are well known for good cameras, I cant beleive why their Xperia Cameras are completely different.
I decided to try to use RAW in order to make the photos look better but Sony does not have it even on the Oreo build. So google camera with HDR+ is not supported. Is there any way I can take better photos? My Xperia XZ camera is not even close to the Galaxy S6 level.

Hi I see this is marked as Solved, But still no RAW support on my Xperia XZ.
It takes really bad photos and I just want to make my phone take better photos. Therefore I wanted to install Pixel Camera with HDR+ but it doesnt work since not raw support in Camera API2.
I am on the Oero 8.0 Official release. Sad that my phone is not capable to compete with a galaxy S6.

So, we're now up to verion 8 of Android, and this still isn't implemented properly?
Does Sony even care about this? It seems as if they've completly abandoned us here.

Would be nice if RAW is exported for every shot, then we can apply whatever postprocessing we want to it

There is something about it, but nothing has happened yet.
