Android Nougat When are we getting it? Which Xperias will be updated?

Not getting nougat update

Hello guys.
After I send my phone to the service, they changed android version to 5.1.1 from 7.1.1 and then I can't update my phone 7.1.1 again. 

How can I update?

P.s: I tried Xperia Companion and phone's update app.

Hello Quester,

I am from Chennaim India. I have Z3+ with Android 7.0. I had a issue in my phone that apps getting minimized automatically. I thougt it would be some software issue, so i did factory restore, that didn't help me, then i though it would be screen guard issue, still it resolve. So i called Xperia Support, they said that try upating the Android to 7.1.2, but my phone says software is upto date with 7.0. I did repair the Software with Xperia Companion but no luck. This is my Customization Version 1295-0156_R4D. Could you please check and let me know, do i have a update for my phone. If yes, then how can i update, if no when can i expect the update. I am using Airtel.

Did you try to update your xperia via your computer and Sony Companion?

I tried. It says it's fully updated. What's wrong!?

Honestly: I have no Idea

I think there are two ways: run a factory reset with no guarantee that it will work then. OR

Be lucky with a stable running Android Marshmallow. It seems Oreo is not as good as expected yet.

If you have enough space and Xperia companion does not see any update, it means that for your customization number (each region, provider etc has a different software version number) there is no update released.

Probably, but why? I mean is it fair that some phones do have an update and some don't?
