SOFTWARE UPDATE OREO

Hi Sony Dev's,

When will be the next update for Xperia™ X?

Does it have plans to upgrade to 8.1 Oreo?

Thanks and regards,

Ahrkitek

Re: SOFTWARE UPDATE OREO

@ahrkitek10

Pretty shure Xperia X will stay on the same software version.

Expect only security patches.

@Strampke

As long as phone will keep its smooth performance and battery longer life is the most important thing. 😁

Re: SOFTWARE UPDATE OREO

Clean op some apps every now and then: use Google Files Go (to be renamed soon)

Restart your device every forthnight.

Keeps you happy.

Xperia X is a very reliable machine, not the speediest, not the best battery life, bust still very reliable.

Not detecting Oreo update

Hi, just got a new XA1 ultra and it came with Nougat installed. I now that Oreo has been realesed something ago to this device but it keeps saying it´s up to date. Tried by the phone and by the Xperia Companion.

Its a exchange unit provided by sony in replacement of my Xa1 with screen problems.

H8296 delay of security patches

The xz2 H8296 still hasn't received an October security patch or November. Why the delay?

No system update possible

Hi,

I've got my new X Compact since August and had the same phone before. The old phone was updated regularly and the new one doesn't even provide a possibility to update the system manually. I've tried everything, even tried to fix it over Xperia companion.

It always tells me that my phone is on the newest level and it still runs Android 6.0.1 whilst my old phone used already Android 8.0.0

What can I do to get my phone updated?
