The update will first need to be authorised by your network or country before Sony is authorised to release it to your device. Also operator locked phones takes much longer that other phones to receive their updates because they have to be extensively verified by the carrier before release. I recently bought an E4, and I'm pretty satisfied with it, it's a great phone for that price. Do anyone knows when will this phone get the Lollipop update? Sony hasn't mentioned this model nowhere... The M2 already got 5.1.1, E4 has almost the same hardware (only the SOC manufacter differs). I'd be really dissapointed if they won't roll out any updates...
Sorry for my english (I tried my best )

Sent my phone off to sony for repair, and just got it back, but when ive checked the phone details its still 4.2.2 Jelly bean.
I though they where going to update both the software and the android version?

The E4 will probably not get it, see the comment section in http://www.vcpost.com/articles/80659/20150729/android-5-1-1-lollipop-sony-sofware-update-android-4-1...
Hiwever, it may get Marsmallow, given that i was eligible for the preview (http://developer.sonymobile.com/2015/06/22/android-m-developer-preview-available-for-xperia-devices-...
