Re: WLAN connection unusable when SWR50 connected to bluetooth

I'm afraid i don't know if Google will add support for this or not. Their announcement about Android Wear for iOS only mentioned that it will support all future Android Wear watches.

Re: WLAN connection unusable when SWR50 connected to bluetooth

I'm sorry to hear that Slightly frowning Face

I'm afraid SWR50 is not designed to be compatible with iOS. Googles Android Wear application for iOS supports these watches according to http://www.android.com/wear/check/

Android Wear for iOS is available for iPhone 5 and later. Watches that support iOS include: ASUS ZenWatch 2, Huawei Watch, LG Watch Urbane, Moto 360 (2nd Gen), Moto 360 for Women, and Moto 360 Sport.

What you are describing does however not sound related to the SWR50 itself. It sounds more related to the phone or the Android Wear application. If possible, i would try to test it on another phone to make sure this is not an issue with your phone.

Re: WLAN connection unusable when SWR50 connected to bluetooth

Thanks. After doing some research, another user reported the same issue: http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/smartwatch-3-iphone-kein-w-lan.727917/

So I'm sure this is up to Sony's SWR50 not being fully compatible with Android Wear on IOS - I do use (ok, not all at the same time) on Android and IOS several different smartwatches without these severe issue. Withings, Pebble, Garmin...

Nexus 6 on Android 6 doesn't show this problem. Only very slow sync after the first pairing.

Re: WLAN connection unusable when SWR50 connected to bluetooth

I've been searching more about this as well and you might be right. I also found reports of this (not only with SWR50 but also with other watches that are not listed as supported by the iOS version of Android Wear). I'm afraid i haven't been able to find any solution or workaround though.

Ok, no solution so far. Will there be any in the near future? Seems, I did buy the wrong smartwatch.
